NAME: Vintage Hamadan Persian Runner
SKU: 20715

The design of this rug is simple.  Classic central medallion with long appendages is placed on an “abrash” ground.  Abrash is similar to tye dye in that by using the same colour it produces a lot of movement. It also denotes that the rug has age & the dyes have softened over time.  This village rug is made by families at home with skills inherited over many years. It has been hand-knotted in sturdy quality wool that has been cut to a good length to form a thick luxurious pile.
