A stunning Persian Heriz vintage rug from this well known city renowned for its rug making.  An extra, large central medallion is placed on a field covered by myriads of interesting objects. There are birds. peacocks, poplar trees, geometric discs etc. scattered throughout the warm madder red ground framed by a geometric green border & guards. This is a very colourful vintage piece in excellent condition.  The artisans of old have chosen to hand knot this rug in wool using reds, blues, and green colours.
