NAME: Nain Persian Rug (Signed)
 SKU: 2204PA159

Nain, a town situated in central Iran is a relatively newcomer for rug production.  In about 1930 Nain began developing it’s own style of very fine and precise designs.  The rugs were made of very fine soft wool on a cotton foundation with touches of silk.  This is a special signed piece by Ahmadi in classic Nain style of central medallion placed on a field of floral sprays.  This is a colourful piece of red, blue, greens etc. which is unusual for Nain rugs which are traditionally blue & cream. The proficient weavers of this rug have outlined & inlaid the design with silk to highlight the pattern.
