NAME: Sirjan Persian Kilim Rug
SKU:2507SAD420
This beautiful tribal Persian rug is woven in Sirjan, a historic town in southern Iran renowned for generations of highly skilled tribal weavers and their deeply rooted artistic traditions. Crafted entirely by hand, this rug is made from soft, high-quality, hand-spun sheep’s wool, which gives it a naturally smooth texture and a warm, organic feel. The colours are achieved using natural vegetable dyes.
The weaver has combined two traditional techniques, kilim (flat weave) and pile (raised weave), to create a visually striking rug with a unique sense of depth and dimension. This blend of construction methods combines the durability of kilim weaving with the comfort and softness of a pile rug, creating a piece that is both practical and beautifully textured.
