NAME: Large Bakhtiari Rug
SKU: 31131
This Bakhtiari Kheshti rug is hand-knotted in the Bakhtiari region of western Iran (Persia) a place famous for its tribal weaving traditions. It’s made by skilled artisans, many of whom continue techniques passed down through generations. Made from pure hand-spun sheep’s wool, the rug features the classic kheshti or Persian Garden design, a grid of squares, each filled with delicate floral and geometric patterns inspired by nature. The hand-spun wool gives it a soft, natural feel and the tight weave ensures it will last for years.
The warm brown background comes alive with vibrant colours Brown, lapis blue, burnt orange, cream and green dyed using organic, vegetable-based dyes. The natural wool gives it a soft sheen and a welcoming feel underfoot.
