This beautiful round Tabriz rug is hand-knotted from fine lamb’s wool, giving it a soft feel and a gentle natural glow. The deep black field immediately draws the eye, allowing the colours and motifs to stand out with exceptional clarity. At the centre is an intricate Shamsa (sunburst) medallion, from which the design opens out in perfectly balanced circular layers.

The pattern features refined rosettes, delicate floral repeats, and flowing islimi (arabesque) vines, all arranged with the precision Tabriz weavers are known for. The wide border is finished with traditional Tabriz floral panels and palmettes in tones of rose, sky blue, olive, terracotta, and ivory. The contrast against the black background gives the rug an elegant, graceful presence without feeling overpowering.
