NAME: Pictorial Qashqai Runner
 SKU: 2204PA179

Excellent pictorial Qashqai runner depicting the image of Nadar Shah Afshar.  He was one of the most powerful rulers in Iranian history & ruled from 1736 to 1747. The Farsi writing spells out his name Nadar Shah Afshar. Tribal women make Qashqai rugs from an ancient tribe of nomads in the Fars province in the southwest of Iran.  They are known for their bold, graphic designs in bright joyful colour combinations and this piece is no exception. The construction is 100% wool and the dyes used are derived from vegetable products. This is a special collector’s piece not likely to be found easily.
