NAME: Kelim Small Runner
 SKU: 2402IR01

Kelims (kilim) are hand made by using a flat weave and are completely identical on both sides which is a great advantage over other types of carpets. Their history goes back to Southern Central Asia before the time of Christ. These small narrow kelim runners are made by young women as part of their dowry.  Some of them are co-joined and can be separated into 2 separate small runners.  These kelims originated near the town of Meshed situated in the north east of Iran and are made from colorful sheep’s wool using geometric motifs and small floral designs.
