NAME: Persian Kilim Rug
 SKU: 17715

Kurds hand-knotted Senneh rugs in or around the town of Senneh (now known as Sanandaj) in Western Iran. Rugs and kilims from this area are prized for their detailed patterns, coloring, and fine weave.  Their patterns are quite classical. ‘Herati’ and ‘boteh’ patterns are both commonly used, with red & dark blue dominating Senneh rugs. They are by far the most sophisticated of all the Kurdish rugs. Senneh kilims are considered the best kilims in Iran.
