NAME:Gabbeh Persian Rug
 SKU: 21373

The word "Gabbeh" comes from the Persian meaning of raw, natural, and uncut. The Gabbeh patterns are primitive and very basic or plain. The term Gabbeh has come to stand for several styles of rugs made by different tribes, such as Kurdish, Luri, Bakhtiari, and Qashqai, who are spread throughout southwestern Iran. They are made of natural hand-spun wool yarn; the dyes are mainly natural. They are known for their simplicity and durability, which would suit both modern and not-so-modern surroundings. This particular rug features a beautiful tassel at each end, adding a distinctive finishing touch.
