This wide and long runner has been hand crafted by renown artisans using the famous “Garden of Persia” design. The two main elements of Persian tangible heritage are rugs and  gardens which have evolved together from the beginning of Iranian history.  It is clear from Persian history and geography that this design is an attempt to bring a garden into interior space. The design is based on the formal gardens of ancient Persia with flora separated by pathways and  ornamental ponds.  Garden carpet designs are closely associated with Kerman weavers of southern Persia and date back to the 17^th and 18t century.
