Sarab is a city and capital of Sarab County, East Azerbaijan Province, Iran. Sarab is famous for it's rugs, which are also classified among those known as Heriz. Typically they feature light, rather bright colour schemes, and strong, geometric patterns, often with distinctive central medallions.
